BACKGROUND:  The City prepared and released Bid No. 2024-012 - NW 8th Street Roadway Reconstruction.  Three bid submittals were received in response.

 

The project consists of roadway reconstruction that will be managed by Public Works as well as underground utilities upgrades that will be managed by DEES.  Funding is from a combination of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, the Water/wastewater Renewal and Replacement Fund, the Public Works Roads Fund, and the Stormwater Utility Fund.

 

The City’s contracted engineering consultant has deemed FG Construction LLC to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.  Staff concurs and recommends awarding the project to FG Construction LLC.

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     Approve award to FG Construction LLC
