A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE MULTIPLE AWARD OF BID NO. 2024-015 - AUTOMOTIVE PAINT AND BODY WORK SERVICES TO A1 TRUCK AND RV CENTER LLC AND IRONMONGERY AUTO PAINT AND COLLISION LLC; PROVIDING FOR RATES AS PROPOSED IN THE BID SUBMITTALS OF BOTH FIRMS; PROVIDING FOR AN INITIAL THREE-YEAR TERM AND FOR TWO ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR RENEWAL OPTIONS SUBJECT TO ADMINISTRATIVE APPROVAL WITHOUT FURTHER COMMISSION ACTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BACKGROUND: The City prepared and released Bid No. 2024-015 - Automotive Paint and Body Work Services, which resulted in the receipt of two bid responses. Staff reviewed the submittals and deemed both to be responsive. Staff recommends a multiple award of this bid to A1 Truck and RV Center LLC and Ironmongery Auto Paint and Collision LLC for work to be performed on an as needed basis. Following are the proposed rates of both firms:

RECOMMENDATION: Approve multiple award to both responsive firms
FISCAL IMPACT: Historically, approximately $50,000 is expended for automotive paint and body work annually. Our future fiscal impact will vary based on the need to repair damage to vehicle bodies and other cosmetic condition factors related to vehicles in the City’s fleet.
