Title
AN ORDINANCE TO REDUCE BOARD MEMBER SUBSTITUTIONS BETWEEN THE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD AND THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT.
BACKGROUND: At the June 7th City Commission meeting, staff was directed to draft an ordinance to eliminate board member substitutions between the Planning and Zoning Board and the Board of Adjustment. The discussion leading up to this directive expressed concern as to whether a substitute member would have adequate time to review the back up for a meeting they were asked to cover. At the July 12th City Commission meeting, this ordinance was tabled to the August 23rd meeting, and staff was directed to revise the ordinance so that only one member may substitute on an alternate board at a time.
