A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA, AWARDING RFP 2023-014 CORAL GATE TANK REHABILITATION TO THE RAZORBACK LLC AS THE LOWEST BIDDER, PROVIDING FOR THE REQUESTED CONSTRUCTION SERVICES AND COMPLETE WATER STORAGE TANK REHABILITATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $178,790; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BACKGROUND:
Every five years, the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) requires utilities to inspect their water storage tanks; the recent inspection in 2019 revealed recommendations for repairs, prompting the City to initiate RFP 2023-014 to cover the required scope of work.
On October 18, 2023, the Department of Environmental and Engineering Services (DEES) initiated Request for Proposals (RFP) 2023-014 to rehabilitate the Coral Gate Tank, a 2 million gallons ground storage tank for finished drinking water.
The project overview encompasses both exterior and interior rehabilitation, focusing on structural integrity, longevity, and compliance with industry standards.
Two proposals were received, and Razorback LLC submitted the lowest bid, demonstrating the capability to fulfill the scope of work outlined in the RFP. It is anticipated that the contractor, Razorback LLC, will complete their work prior to the next required inspection, which is due by the end of 2024.
