A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA, AWARDING BID NO. 2020-009 - BLUEWAY TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS TO LAMBERT BROS., INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $264,719 INCLUSIVE OF BASE SERVICES AND DELIVERABLES, ADDITIONAL SERVICES, INDEMNIFICATION, ALLOWANCES, AND CONTINGENCY FUNDING; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE.

BACKGROUND:                     The City advertised for bid submissions for Bid No. 2009-009 - Blueway Trail Improvements.  The project consists of waterway wayfinding signage, new installations of boat docking stations and improvements to some that are existing, along with additional waterway related improvements and construction.  Twenty-five different requestors received the bid package and three bids were submitted.  After review of all submissions, Lambert Bros., Inc. has been recommended for award by the Director of Parks and Recreation.                      

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     Award to Lambert Bros., Inc.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                       $264,719, with a GRANT reimbursement of $200,000

 

                     $219,999.75 from Account No. 334-6529-572.65.81

                     $44,720 transfer from Recreation Trust Fund *

 

* To be included in FY 2020 year-end budget amendment
