RESOLUTION - APPROVING THE RECLASSIFICATION OF THE POSITION OF SYSTEMS ANALYST SUPERVISOR TO TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE

BACKGROUND:                                           Our City IT has undergone changes that will rely less on mainframe support and reclassifying this position will realign the department to the needs of the City. This reclassification will accomplish multiple objectives, such as; ensuring responsive technical support requests and facilitating the necessary technology upgrades as equipment becomes obsolete within designated time frames.

                     

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     For approval

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                     Current position of Systems Analyst Supervisor with paygrade 34 and a range of $83,264 - $116,820 will be reduced to Technical Support Specialist with a paygrade of 16 and a range of  $52,548 - $73,726.
