Title
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE SUPPORT AND COMMITMENT TO PROGRAM FUNDING FOR THE SW 6TH STREET TRAFFIC CALMING AND PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS; PROVIDING FOR THE FUNDING ELIGIBILITY THROUGH THE BROWARD METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (MPO) COMPLETE STREETS AND OTHER LOCALIZED INITIATIVES PROGRAM (CSLIP).
 
 
BACKGROUND:                     The City of Margate seeks to obtain funding eligibility through the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Complete Streets and other Localized Initiatives Program (CSLIP).  A Resolution of the City of Margate in support of the SW 6th Street Traffic Calming and Pedestrian Improvements Project (from State Road 7 to SW 49th Way) is required to be part of the MPO Cycle 9 CSLIP application process for the project.  The final project application is due September 4, 2024.                      
 
 
RECOMMENDATION:                     City staff recommends approval.
 
 
FISCAL IMPACT:                     None.  All project funding through the Broward MPO CSLIP.
