BACKGROUND:                                          At the April 17, 2025, City Commission meeting, the City Commission   directed the Administration to take all steps necessary to implement a staffing level goal of three Fire Department personnel on a fire engine and three Fire Department personnel on a fire rescue vehicle. This agenda item provides for an MOU with IAFF Local #3080, to amend Article 16 of the collective bargaining agreement, to increase the daily minimum duty combat force from sixteen (16) to nineteen (19). This MOU would be effective June 1, 2025, subject to full ratification by the City and IAFF Local #3080.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     For approval.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                     $133,292 per firefighter paramedic; with an additional cost of $6,000 per class to assist in training.
