APPROVE AND ACCEPT STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION GRANT AGREEMENT No. 23PLN80, IN THE AMOUNT OF $235,852 FOR THE CITY OF MARGATE COMPREHENSIVE VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT.

BACKGROUND:                     The Public Works Department received a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) grant award in the amount of $235,852 to obtain professional services for a citywide infrastructure vulnerability assessment.  The assessment will identify potential risks of flooding and sea level rise to critical assets and infrastructure.  With the completion of the assessment, City staff will be able to seek State resiliency grant funding for the development of projects, plans, and policies that allow the community to prepare for threats from flooding.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     City Staff recommends Approval                     

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                     None.  This is a cost reimbursement agreement.
