APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) BETWEEN THE CITY OF MARGATE AND THE STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (DOH) TO PROVIDE POINTS OF DISPENSING (PODS) TO DISTRIBUTE MEDICATION IN THE EVENT OF A PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY.

BACKGROUND: The Florida Department of Health, in conjunction with the Centers of Disease Control (CDC), is tasked with distributing medication from the National Pharmaceutical Stockpile (NPS) in the event of a public health emergency. The medication is provided to the City at no cost, for public use and/or first responders, City employees and their families.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve.
FISCAL IMPACT: The program is provided by the State of Florida at no cost to the City of Margate.
