BACKGROUND:                                          

On December 19, 2025, Staff advertised and released Bid No. 2026-003 - Sports Officiating Services for four youth sports (baseball, softball, basketball and soccer) and one potential youth sport (flag football).  A single bid proposal was received and publicly opened on January 28, 2026.  

 

After communicating with the sole bidder, the recommendation from Staff is award of only basketball and soccer officiating to the sole bidder.  If approved, the services will commence beginning with the 2026 fall seasons.  Per game costs for the services to be provided range between $95 per game and $150 per game based on the bid pricing submitted.  Additional sports officiating needs will be handled separately. 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     Award the Agreement for a reduced scope of services
