Title
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR FEES COLLECTED BY THE DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR PLANNING AND ZONING RELATED APPLICATIONS AS PROVIDED FOR BY THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MARGATE; PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL WAIVER FEE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BACKGROUND: On June 3, 2026, the City Commission approved ordinance 2026-8, which created a new planning and zoning application referred to as the Special Waiver. This resolution will add an application processing fee the Special Waiver. Due to similarities in processes, the proposed fee is the same as a non-residential variance application.
RECOMMENDATION: N/A
FISCAL IMPACT: Proposed fee of $1,912.25 plus $266.89 for each code item for year 2026. Fees are double for after the fact applications.
