Title
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA, APPROVING ACQUISITION OF A 2026 WHEELED COACH FREIGHTLINER TYPE 1 RESCUE ON 2026 FREIGHTLINER M2 FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FROM MATHENY MOTOR TRUCK COMPANY, WITH PRICING PER THE FLORIDA SHERIFF’S ASSOCIATION BID NO. FSA25-VEF19.0; PROVIDING FOR WAIVING OF BIDDING FOR CUSTOM BUILD-OUT AS STANDARDIZATION TO MATCH EXISTING UNITS; NOT TO EXCEED $464,472.27; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BACKGROUND: This purchase will replace an in-service unit that has reached the end of its usable service life with 106,000miles, built in 2019. The unit will be housed at Station 58 and includes the latest technology in pre-hospital EMS transport.

Cost of Chassis per FSA bid $293,420.00
Cost of Options and Upgrades Per Margate Fire Dept. $141,781.86
Cost of Safety Equipment Supplied and Installed $16,770.41
Cost of Radio and Installation $12,500.00
Final Cost of New Rescue $464,472.27
RECOMMENDATION: Approve
FISCAL IMPACT: $464,472.27 to be paid from Dept. Account no.001.2010.564002 Acquisition of Vehicles.
