Body

BACKGROUND:                                          Florida Power and Light (“FPL”) has advised that the proposed undergrounding of utilities along State Road 7 will require a 10’ easement abutting the right of way on the MCRA-owned property at 1100 North State Road 7 (formerly Country Haven Motel site).  This proposed easement extends northward from the existing easement on 1000 North State Road 7 (formerly the Swap Shop site) and is planned to accommodate underground electric and communications utilities.   The easement is to be granted using FPL’s standard easement document which has been reviewed by staff and the MCRA Attorney.  Additionally, the need for this easement was disclosed to the City Center developer, who had no objection to it.
