BACKGROUND:                                          Broward County administers the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP), and Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) grants. Broward County is requesting the City consider changes to the Minor Home Repair and Special Needs/Barrier Free activities as well as the home purchase assistance program, as detailed in the correspondence included with this agenda item.

 

Broward County Housing Finance Division staff will be making a presentation as to the status of the City’s grant programs and further details regarding their request for program changes.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     For discussion and possible action.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                     No direct cost to the City; grant funded.
