APPROVING APPOINTMENT OF CITY OF MARGATE DIRECTOR, FIRST ALTERNATE, AND SECOND ALTERNATE TO THE BROWARD LEAGUE OF CITIES BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR 2019-2020.

BACKGROUND:  Broward League of Cities Executive Director Mary Lou Tighe disseminated correspondence requesting City Commission appointments for Director, First Alternate and Second Alternate of the Broward League of Cities for the 2019-2020 year for the City of Margate. League By-Laws stipulate that each city shall appoint a Director, Alternate and Second Alternate to attend and vote at any Board of Director or General Membership Meeting.                     

 

Last year, the City Commission appointed Anthony N. Caggiano as Director, Tommy Ruzzano as First Alternate and Joanne Simone as Second Alternate, by Resolution #18-037, on April 4, 2018, for the 2018-2019 year.                     

 

RECOMMENDATION: To nominate a Director, First Alternate and Second Alternate for the Broward League of Cities.
