BACKGROUND:                                           The City of Margate Parks and Recreation Department applied for a matching grant for the Park Improvement Bond project - Southeast Park. The project is estimated to be over $2,000,000, and at the time, we were confident this project would score/rank high on the awarded projects list.

 

Southeast Park improvements include a renovation of two (2) grass soccer fields, with primary improvements focused on a multipurpose artificial turf field, Parking expansion, and ADA accessible pathways. This project aligns with our Parks and Recreation Master Plan, and our bond project descriptions.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     To approve

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                     $1,000,000 GRANT (Fund 334) / $1,000,000 CITY MATCH (Fund 335)
