APPROVING APPOINTMENT OF _________________ TO THE FIVE MEMBER MARGATE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT FOR THE VACATED POSITION TO FULFILL THE REMAINDER OF THE CURRENT TERM ENDING MARCH 21, 2018.

BACKGROUND: The Margate Board of Adjustment is a five (5) member committee with one (1) year terms. The passing of Ordinance 2013-2 on March 6, 2013, created the current appointment and application procedures for the Margate Board of Adjustment.
Board of Adjustment Board Member Ruben Rivadeneira has been absent for three (3) Board of Adjustment meetings for this calendar year.
Per Section 2-74 of the City Code:
If any member of any city board or committee of the City of Margate fails to attend three (3) regular board or committee meetings during any one (1) calendar year, said member shall automatically be deemed to have resigned from said board or committee and a new member shall be appointed by the city commission for the remainder of the term of said member. This shall not preclude the city commission from reappointing the same member to the same board or committee for the remainder of the unexpired term.

* VACANT (this position was previously filled by Ruben Rivadeneria, who was nominated by Mayor Ruzzano and appointed at the 3/15/17 Regular City Commission meeting)
