DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION - AUTHORIZATION FOR THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PURSUE COMPLAINT AGAINST HILDEBRAND AMUSEMENT RIDES, INC. TO RECOVER AMOUNTS OWED TO THE CITY.

BACKGROUND:                                           On October 8, 2025, the City Commission conditionally approved a Temporary Use Permit (TUP) for Hildebrand Amusement Rides, Inc. to hold a fair from November 21, 2025 - December 2025. Included in the conditional approval was the requirement to pay deposits for police and fire detail services and to pay all additional costs for those services. As of this date, there are $55,908.00 in fees due for services provided by the City. As per Resolution 25-069, interest shall accrue until the invoice is paid in full.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     To authorize the City Attorney to file a Complaint against Hildebrand Amusement Rides, Inc. and take all other action necessary for the City to collect all amounts due to the City including any legal and other collection costs.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                     Current amount due: $59,464.67 ($55,908 in costs plus $3,556.67 in interest) as of June 17, 2026; Legal services costs to be determined.
