RESOLUTION - RELATING TO THE PROVISION OF FIRE RESCUE SERVICES, FACILITIES AND PROGRAMS IN THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA; REIMPOSING FIRE RESCUE ASSESSMENTS AGAINST CERTAIN ASSESSED PROPERTIES LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF MARGATE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2018; APPROVING THE RATE OF ASSESSMENT; APPROVING THE SUPPLEMENTAL ASSESSMENT ROLL; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BACKGROUND:                     This resolution is a Supplemental Annual Rate Resolution, which supplements Resolution 18-067, adopted June 20, 2018, in order to correct the assessment amounts levied upon nine (9) properties for which the assessment amounts levied in Resolution 18-067 were incorrect.  This resolution directs the reimposition of Fire Rescue Assessments for certain properties for the Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2018 and approves the supplemental assessment roll.

                     

RECOMMENDATION:                     For approval.

 

FISCAL IMPACT: For the Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2018, the total estimated Fire Rescue Assessed Cost to be assessed is $10,327,401, and the amount that will be assessed pursuant to the Supplemental Assessment Roll is $239,991.  The Fire Rescue Assessments to be assessed and apportioned among benefited parcels pursuant to the Cost Apportionment and Parcel Apportionment described in the Preliminary Assessment Resolution (18-055), applicable to all properties in the City including the nine (9) properties affected by this Supplemental Annual Rate Resolution are as follows:
