Title
RESOLUTION - APPROVING THE REMETERING AGREEMENT WITH TC MC MARGATE APARTMENTS LLC TO PROVIDE REMETERING OF WATER METERS ON PROPERTY KNOWN AS LEGACY MARGATE LOCATED AT 5205-5231 COCONUT CREEK PKWY, MARGATE, FL.
BACKGROUND: Ordinance No. 2005-06 amended Chapter 39, Article VII, Section 39-70 of the Code of Ordinances to allow a property owner to install individual dwelling units in order to separately bill each dwelling unit based upon actual consumption. Section 39-70 requires property owner to enter into a written agreement with the city. This agreement ensures the dwelling unit is not charged more than the direct cost of the utility service, outlines the responsibilities of the property owner, and provides other protections for the individual dwelling unit occupants.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve
