APPROVAL OF AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE DEFINITIONS AND REGULATIONS FOR TEMPORARY FEATHER BANNER SIGNS AND INFLATABLE SIGNS.

BACKGROUND:
At their April 5, 2017 meeting, the Margate City Commission directed Staff to research and draft an ordinance permitting temporary feather banner signs and inflatable signs for grand openings of businesses. This ordinance proposes to provide definitions and regulations of these proposed signs.
RECOMMENDATION: This item was approved by the Development Review Committee on May 23, 2017. A copy of the meeting minutes is attached. The item was approved with height and setback changes at the Planning and Zoning Board meeting on July 11, 2017 with a 5-0 vote. A draft copy of those meeting minutes is attached.
