RECOGNITION OF FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL FOR LIFE-SAVING CARDIAC RESUSCITATION RESULTING IN RETURN OF SPONTANEOUS CIRCULATION.

BACKGROUND:                       On December 28, 2025, at approximately 0300 hours, Station 58 was dispatched to a report of a 58-year-old female who was unconscious, unresponsive, and not breathing, with CPR in progress. Upon arrival, crews found the patient’s husband actively performing CPR. Patient care was immediately assumed by the crew, and advanced life-saving measures were initiated. The patient was transported to the hospital, and during transport, crews achieved a return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC).  The crews on scene include Upgrade Captain Carl Williamson, Driver Engineer Paul Sherman, Lieutenant Danny Cujar, and the following Firefighter Paramedics Al Guerra, Sierra Jarjoura, and Jared Rose. 

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     City Staff recommends approval.
