Title

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE BROWARD COUNTY SURTAX FUNDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA, AND BROWARD COUNTY FOR TRANSPORTATION SURTAX CYCLE 1 (FY2020) REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE PROJECTS; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE.

BACKGROUND:                     The City Commission approved Resolution 20-025 requesting Broward County Mobility Advancement Program Surtax Funds for Cycle 1 (FY2020) rehabilitation and maintenance projects including repairs to the NW 76th Ave bridge, repairs to the Margate Blvd bridge, repairs of valley gutters within the Paradise Gardens 4 subdivision, and citywide milling and resurfacing.

 

Broward County has allocated and authorized the following funds by project:

 

1.                     $197,016 for BC-MARG-FY2020-00001: the maintenance of the Margate Blvd bridge No. 867308.

2.                     $138,307.28 for BC-MARG-FY2020-00004: the maintenance of the NW 76th Ave bridge No. 867305.

3.                     $293,350 for BC-MARG-FY2020-00002: the repair of the stormwater gutter systems within the Paradise Gardens 4 subdivision.

4.                     $1,053,184 for BC-MARG-FY2020-00003: Citywide asphalt roadway milling and resurfacing.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     City Staff recommends Approval
