BACKGROUND:                     At the September 10, 2025 meeting, the MCRA Board unanimously approved Resolution 757 providing for an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) between the MCRA and the City of Margate wherein the MCRA will provide funding to pay the cost of undergrounding the existing overhead utility lines adjacent to the proposed Cocogate project.    There is an existing Task Order No. 2 with Kimley Horn and Associates, Inc. which authorized the design services for undergrounding the overhead utilities along the east right of way of State Road 7 from Atlantic Boulevard to Coconut Creek Parkway.

The proposed First Amendment to Task Order No. 2 for Kimley Horn will extend these design services along State Road 7 from Coconut Creek Parkway to the northwest corner of the Cocogate project.
