WAIVING OF RENTAL FEES AND LABOR FEES FOR THE USE OF THE MARGATE SPORTS COMPLEX COVERED FIELD IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,150 FEE WAIVED REQUEST BY GIDEON'S MOTORCYCLE CLUB
BACKGROUND: Gideons Motorcycle Club is requesting the waving of fees to host a back to school backpack giveaway. Last year Gideons MC gave out over 2000 back packs along with basic school supplies to Margate families as well as families in surrounding cities. This year we would like to continue to help by doing our 2nd Back to School Bash and give families day of entertainment by providing activities for the kids, music, raffles & most importantly taking time for our community to get to know Gideons MC and what we are about. We are already working with vendors and donors as we are aware of the possibility of clear backpacks for the 23-24 school year.
RECOMMENDATION: For Consideration
FISCAL IMPACT: $1150 [$750 Rental fee, $400 labor (estimated)]
