SPONSORSHIP OF NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
BACKGROUND: National Night Out (NNO) is an annual event which is a nationwide community-building campaign that promotes partnerships between citizens and law enforcement to make neighborhoods safer. It is always held on the first Tuesday of August and this year the City of Margate will be celebrating their 23rd Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex and Covered Sports Field. This extraordinarily successful evening showcases crime prevention activities and awareness as well as safety and equipment demonstrations. This event has won many awards and accolades over the years and is always well attended by those in the community. There will be food, music and activities for kids of all ages as in years passed. Last year the MCRA Board approved up to $15,000 to sponsor a hospitality tent. The MCRA wishes to sponsor the event again this year for the same amount.
