MCRA BUDGET PRIORITIES IN FY 2027
BACKGROUND: Budget planning for fiscal year 2027 is currently underway throughout the City. The intent for this item is to have preliminary discussion and obtain Board feedback about MCRA projects and activities for the upcoming fiscal year 2026-2027.
Current FY2026 MCRA capital projects underway include the following:
- Margate Blvd Improvements
- Coral Gate Park Improvements
- Wayfinding (Gateway/Entryway) Signage
- Property Improvement Grants
- Undergrounding of Overhead Wires
- Median Enhancements
- Community Policing Initiatives (All current encumbrances/items have been received and paid. $184K remaining in budget.)
- Sports Complex - Turf Field Conversions
- Property Acquisitions/Land Improvements
FY2027 MCRA Proposed Projects/Programs include:
- Wayfinding (Gateway/Entryway) Signage
- Property Improvement Grants
- Undergrounding of Overhead Wires
- Median Enhancements
- Community Policing Initiatives
- Sports Complex - Turf Field Conversions
- City Center Development
- Property Acquisitions/Land Improvements
