A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA, APPROVING WITH CONDITIONS A TEMPORARY USE PERMIT FOR THE ANNUAL BRAZILIAN FESTIVAL TO BE HELD AT SAINT VINCENT CATHOLIC CHURCH, LOCATED AT 6350 NORTHWEST 18TH STREET, FROM JUNE 8-9, 2024; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BACKGROUND: St. Vincent Catholic Church at 6350 NW 18th Street is seeking approval for their annual Brazilian Festival, to be held, on June 8-9, 2024.
Anticipated Attendance: 3,000 people per day
Activities: Typical food, entertainment for kids, square dance for adults and kids & music
Alcohol Sales: Temporary Sales Permit to be obtained, service to take place from the community center
Event Duration: 2 days
Event Dates: June 8, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
June 9, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Set-up Dates: June 6-7, 2024
Clean-up dates: June 10-11, 2024
On Site Parking: 525 on-site (16 valet included)
Off-Site Parking: Permission granted and insurance certificates provided for use of overflow at Margate Elementary School (52 spaces)
RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution
