APPROVE AND ACCEPT STANDARD GRANT AGREEMENT L0496 WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION FOR THE CITY OF MARGATE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT STORMWATER INFRASTRUCTURE AND CANAL EMBANKMENT RESTORATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $350,000.00.

BACKGROUND:                     The Public Works Department received a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) grant award in the amount of $350,000 to obtain services to restore and rehabilitate city-wide stormwater inlets and pipes and canal embankments. Citywide stormwater infrastructure and canal embankment restoration will increase system resiliency, protect property and the environment, and preserve the canal systems.  This grant does not require a local match.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     City Staff recommends Approval

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                     None.  This is a reimbursement agreement.
