AUTHORIZING THE FOURTH AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND M & M LAWN CARE, LLC FOR THE INCLUSION OF ADDITIONAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES
BACKGROUND: Currently the MCRA has an existing agreement with M & M Lawn Care to handle maintenance of MCRA-owned bus shelters as well as landscaping services at 891 N. State Road 7, 6030 NW 9th Street and the Covered Sports Field property.
Routine maintenance services for the fifteen (15) bus shelters includes general cleaning in and around the shelters, trash removal including replacement liners and disposal three (3) times per week, Monday to Friday only, monthly waste container cleaning, reporting weekly the conditions of the shelters and quarterly pressure washing. It has become apparent that there has been an overflow of trash on the weekends at some locations making the bus shelters appear unkempt and unsightly. In an effort to improve the standard across all the shelters, an addition of a weekend trash service has been recommended.
The MCRA recommends entering into the Fourth Amendment with M & M Lawn Care to add an additional day of service each week to be done on a weekend day.
RECOMMENDATION: Approval
FISCAL IMPACT: $10,800.00 annually. Funds are available through the Professional Property Maintenance account #140-0510-512.31.38
