APPROVING APPOINTMENT OF CITY OF MARGATE DIRECTOR, FIRST ALTERNATE, AND SECOND ALTERNATE TO THE BROWARD LEAGUE OF CITIES BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR 2026-2027.

BACKGROUND:  Broward League of Cities Deputy Executive Director Sely Cochrane disseminated correspondence requesting City Commission appointments for Director, First Alternate, and Second Alternate of the Broward League of Cities for the 2026-2027 year for the City of Margate. League By-Laws stipulate that each city shall appoint a Director, Alternate, and Second Alternate to attend and vote at any Board of Directors or General Membership Meeting.                     

 

On April 16, 2025, the City Commission appointed Anthony N. Caggiano as Director, Arlene R. Schwartz as First Alternate, and Tommy Ruzzano as Second Alternate by Resolution #25-023 for 2025-2026.                     

 

RECOMMENDATION: To appoint a Director, First Alternate, and Second Alternate, for the Broward League of Cities.
