Title
MPO AND SURTAX REHABILITATION & MAINTENANCE PRESENTATION.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Margate applied for three MPO projects and four Surtax R&M projects which are listed below. Currently the three MPO projects are on the MPO rankings as “Design” and the four Surtax R&M will be presented to the MPO in April for funding consideration.
MPO Projects:
1. Winfield Blvd. Improvements
2. City Bicycle/Pedestrian Greenway System
3. Fire Fighters Park / Winfield Blvd. Bridge
Surtax R&M Projects:
1. Roadway Resurfacing: $6,000,000
2. Bridge Rehabilitation (Various): $2,500,000
3. Curb / Gutter Repair / Replacement (Various): $500,000
4. Curb / Gutter Repair / Replacement (Various): $500,001
RECOMMENDATION:
Public Works recommends moving forward with these projects. As the process continues there will be several meetings to finalize designs and plans.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The fiscal impact is uncertain at this time until funding from the County can be determined.
