BACKGROUND:
The City received three responses to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2024-005 - SCADA Upgrades for DEES. A Selection and Evaluation Committee (SEC) was formed to review, evaluate, and final rank the firms based on their submissions. The result of the SEC's final ranking is shown below.

SCADA, or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, is an essential tool used in water and wastewater treatment plants for monitoring, controlling, and automating the processes involved in treating water and sewage. SCADA systems collect data in real-time from sensors and instruments located throughout a water or wastewater treatment plant to ensure that water is treated to meet health standards and wastewater meets environmental regulations.

The existing SCADA system, which was put in place in 2010 and has not seen updates since is significantly outdated. More than a decade without upgrades has resulted in the system falling behind contemporary software demands and replacement parts availability, necessitating a comprehensive rehabilitation and upgrade to meet current standards.
