APPROVING THE COMMUNITY AESTHETIC FEATURE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE WAYFINDING SIGN AT STATE ROAD 7 AND SOUTHGATE BOULEVARD

BACKGROUND:                     As part of the Southgate Boulevard Median improvements project, the MCRA is proposing to add a monument sign for the Southgate neighborhood.  This sign will be located within the Department of Transportation (DOT) State Road 7 right-of-way, which extends approximately 30 feet into Southgate Boulevard.  Installation of signage within DOT rights-of-way requires DOT approval, a process that begins with entering into a Community Aesthetic Feature (CAF) Agreement with the DOT.                       

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     Approve the CAF Agreement and authorize the Executive Director to sign the Agreement on behalf of the MCRA.
