Title
APPROVING FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 ANNUAL BUDGET
BACKGROUND: The proposed budget for fiscal year 2023-2024 was presented at the MCRA meeting held on August 24, 2023 and included revenue projections, operations expense projections, and current and proposed capital improvement projects.
At the August 24th meeting the Board directed staff to come back with a recommendation to eliminate the CRA Project Specialist position and distribute the savings amongst the four dedicated MCRA employees (Director, Assistant Director, and two Coordinators). In addition, it is recommended that the MCRA reclass the Multi-Media Specialist position to a Multi-Media Producer so that the MCRA can further advance its promotional efforts. The net effect of the position adjustments would amount to a savings to the MCRA of approximately $41,300.
Per Statute 163, Part III, the annual budgets for CRA’s are required to be approved by September 30th of each year.
