Title
RESOLUTION - AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATION TO NEGOTIATE WITH THE NUMBER ONE RANKED ENGINEERING FIRM CAROLLO ENGINEERS, INC. FOR REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) 2017-017 DESIGN SERVICES FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT UPGRADE ENGINEERING; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BACKGROUND:
A design criteria package for Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2017-017 - Design Services for Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade Engineering was prepared by staff and distributed to fourteen potential responders. One response was received from Carollo Engineers, Inc. A Selection and Evaluation Committee reviewed the response submitted and ranked that submittal in accordance with the evaluation criteria. The qualifications submission by Carollo Engineers, Inc. was evaluated and received 471 out of 500 possible points.
Upon approval of authorization to negotiate and the conclusion of any resulting negotiations, the Administration will present a negotiated agreement to the City Commission for further action, up to and including award of the agreement.
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize negotiations
FISCAL IMPACT:
Fiscal Year 2017 budget for the design portion of this project is $250,000 (461-6035-536.65-80). The actual hourly and/or lump sum rates for various categories of services needed for the design will be determined as part of the negotiations with the firm.
