BACKGROUND:                                           At the July 9, 2021 Special City Commission meeting, a Separation Agreement was approved between Janette Smith and the City. There is an existing Legal Services Agreement and purchase order with Weiss Serota for litigation and other matters, including back-up city attorney services as needed. As provided for by Section 2-61 and Section 2-62 of City Code, this agenda item provides for appointment of the City Attorney and City Prosecutor by Resolution of the City Commission.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     For approval.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                     Total cost to be determined based upon services required.

                     Hourly Rates:

$240.00 per hour for partners and members of the Firm

                     $210.00 per hour for associates

                     $100.00 per hour for paralegals
