Title
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING A CHANGE ORDER FOR THE CALYPSO COVE PROJECT APPROVED UNDER RESOLUTION 24-029; PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION AND INSTALLATION OF A REPLACEMENT COLLECTOR TANK TO INCLUDE AN ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORK IN THE AMOUNT OF $54,390
BACKGROUND: The City Commission previously approved Resolution 24-029 for the acquisition and installation of the collector tank for the Lap pool at Calypso Cove Aquatics Facility.
With the installation of our new activity, it has come to our attention that our system will be at/near capacity while running all the new features, leaving us very little room to correct any current or future unforeseen issues with the pressure of the system. Additionally, the current collector take is 18 plus years old and will need replaced in the near future. By replacing both collector tanks at the same time, we are receiving a better price on the second collector tank due to minimizing mobilization cost.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends to approve
FISCAL IMPACT: $54,390 from 335-6530-572.65-81
