APPROVING A DONATION OF $1,500.00 TO “A CHILD IS MISSING” (ACM); PROVIDING FOR FUNDING FROM THE LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND.

BACKGROUND:                                          

In accordance with the Florida Contraband Act, the Margate Police Department is required to expend or donate no less than twenty-five percent (25%) of the fiscal years total collection of state forfeiture funds to a charitable organization within the guidelines of Florida State Statute 932.7055.

 

A Child is Missing (ACM) is a non-profit organization who directly assists the Margate Police Department with the early search and recovery of children, the elderly, people with disabilities, and college students through their automated telephone system.
