A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF MARGATE, FLORIDA, AWARDING BID 2025-002 - NW 27TH STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS TO PABON ENGINEERING, INC; PROVIDING FOR A NOT TO EXCEED TOTAL PROJECT COST OF $395,000.00 INCLUSIVE OF CONTINGENCIES AND ALLOWANCES; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE

BACKGROUND:                     The City prepared and released Bid No. 2024-012 - NW 27TH Street Drainage Improvements.  Seven bids were received in response to the request for bids.

 

The project will be managed by Public Works and includes removal and reconstruction of drainage pipes and catch basins, roadway surfaces, and affected driveway approaches.  Additional scope of work will include removal and replacement of affected landscaping and providing various other ancillary restoration services.

 

Staff reviewed the bids submitted and found Pabon Engineering, Inc. to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.  The bid submitted is in line with the City’s engineering consultant’s estimate for the project and meets the intent of the project scope. 

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:                     Approve award to Pabon Engineering, Inc

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:                     Not to exceed $395,000
