Title
A RESOLUTION OF THE MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, APPROVING A LICENSING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE MARGATE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND WHAT's COOKING, INC.
Body

BACKGROUND: In 2012, food trucks began to participate at the Sounds at Sundown and have become a popular addition to the annual events.

What's Cooking, Inc., food truck curator, has asked to participate again this year to provide food truck services for the Sounds at Sundown events from February through June 2015. The Board had previously requested staff to make contact with other curators to see if there was interest for participation at the events. To date, staff has not received any proposals from other food truck curators and recommends continuing services with What's Cooking, Inc.

As part of the licensing agreement with the MCRA, What's Cooking, Inc., will provide services including but not limited to;
* Negotiate and secure up to 15 trucks per event
* Provide cross promotion via social media
* Pay the MCRA $40.00 per truck
* Pay the MCRA 50% of any sponsorship revenues

The proposed agreement with What's Cooking, Inc., is for the February through June events. Since the first event took place prior to the CRA meeting, a one event extension of their previous contract was approved for the January 10th event by the CRA Executive Director and CRA Vice-Chair.

RECOMMENDATION: Approve entering into a licensing agreement with What's Cooking, Inc., to provide food truck curator services for the Sounds at Sundown events February through June 2015.

FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact through this licensing agreement with What's Cooking, Inc. Income will be received at $40.00 per truck, per event. Funding is allocated for the Sounds at Sundown events in 140-0510-512.31-47.
