AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE FOR AN ORDINANCE TO REVISE PORTABLE STORAGE CONTAINER REGULATIONS.

BACKGROUND: Several permit applications for portable storage containers are denied each year. The proposed ordinance aims to revise the procedures and regulations governing these temporary storage containers in order to provide equal opportunities for residents to utilize them, while current regulations prohibit a number of properties due to site conditions.
RECOMMENDATION: The Development Review Committee recommended approval of this ordinance on January 22, 2015. The Planning and Zoning board recommended approval on February 3, 2015.
