BACKGROUND: Broward League of Cities Executive Director Mary Lou Tighe disseminated correspondence requesting City Commission appointments for Director, First Alternate and Second Alternate of the Broward League of Cities for the 2015-2016 year for the City of Margate. League By-Laws stipulate that each city shall appoint a Director, Alternate and Second Alternate to attend and vote at any Board of Director or General Membership Meeting.
Last year, the City Commission appointed Lesa Peerman as Director, Tommy Ruzzano as First Alternate and Frank B. Talerico as Second Alternate, by Resolution 12-461, on March 19, 2014, for the 2014-2015 year.
RECOMMENDATION: To nominate a Director, First Alternate and Second Alternate for the Broward League of Cities.
