APPROVING AWARD OF BID NO. 2015-001- PUBLIC WORKS ADMINISTRATION ROOF PROJECT, TO INFINITY ROOF AND SHEET METAL, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $155,373.

BACKGROUND: The Department of Public Works budgeted for a complete project to replace the current roof for the Public Works Administration Building, located at 102 Rock Island Road. Specifications were drafted, and approved, and the project was advertised for bid. A total of thirteen (13) specification packets were distributed, and five (5) firms responded to the solicitation as follow:
1. Infinity Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc. $155,373.
2. Advanced Roofing $164,523.
3. Precision Roofing $167,900.
4. Roofing Concepts Unlimited $178,930.
5. Deck Tight $247,248.
Copies of the three (3) lowest bids were provided to the staff of Public Works to review and evaluate. Based upon their review, the staff of Public Works recommends that the bid be awarded to Infinity Roof and Sheet Metal, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $155,373. Purchasing concurs with their award recommendation.
RECOMMENDATION: Award to Infinity Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc.
FISCAL IMPACT: 334-4545-539-62.83 - $155,373.
