BACKGROUND: This resolution awards Bid No. 2015-005 Lift Station No. 22 Renovation to the lowest bidder Foster Marine Contractors, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $597,675.00. The project will rehabilitate Lift Station No. 22, which is located near the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and Rock Island Road. A total of eight complete bid packages were received and the three apparent low bid packages were reviewed (please refer to the attached bid tabulation review and the bid evaluation and recommendation letter from the project consultant Craig A. Smith & Associates). Foster Marine Contractors, Inc. has completed similar projects for other municipalities in recent years and performed well according to the feedback from reference checks.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve
FISCAL IMPACT: $597,675.00
