APPROVE AN AGREEMENT WITH WHAT’S COOKING, INC., TO PROVIDE FOOD TRUCKS FOR THE “MARGATE UNDER THE MOON’ EVENTS
BACKGROUND: At the May 13, 2015 CRA Board meeting, staff proposed sponsoring monthly events during the off-season months of August - November. “Margate Under The Moon” will be held the first Saturday of each month from 5pm - 10pm. The themed events will include, local businesses/vendors, food trucks and entertainment (music and/or performances themed for that event).
Staff is recommending entering into an agreement with food truck curator, What’s Cooking, Inc., to provide ongoing food truck operations for the four (4) events. What’s Cooking, Inc. will be responsible for securing 15-25 trucks per event, paying a per truck fee, securing and paying all permit, license and insurance fees, providing additional entertainment, volunteer meals and assist with set-up.
RECOMMENDATION: Motion to Approve the Agreement with What’s Cooking, Inc.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding for the events is available under Fall Festival fund 140-0510-512-31 45 and Marketing and Promotions fund 140-0510-512-31 05.
