4th OF JULY EVENT - UPDATE

BACKGROUND:
The City of Margate will host the annual 4th of July event which is sponsored by the Margate Community Redevelopment Agency.
The outline of the activities is as follows;
9:00am - 11:30am - 4th of July Parade
11:30am - 1:00pm - Next to City Hall - hot dogs, chips, soda will be served with bounce houses and musical performance by Intergenerational Band.
1:00pm - 5:00pm - Pool party at Calypso Cove
5:00pm - 9:00pm - Margate Boulevard - live band, bounce houses, chicken wing cook off and food trucks (Margate Boulevard will be shut down from 1:00pm-10:00pm).
9:00pm - Fireworks (State Road 7 will be shut down at approximately 7:30pm between Coconut Creek Parkway and Atlantic Boulevard and will reopen after the fireworks display).
RECOMMENDATION: For Your Information.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding ($40,000) was approved as part of the annual budget in Fund #140-0510-512.30-24.
