APPROVING AWARD OF BID NO. 2015-014, EAST WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT (WWTP) STEEL CLARIFIER REHABILITATION, TO ANZCO, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $279,792.00, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES (DEES).

BACKGROUND: Specifications were approved and the above project was advertised on 5/18/15. A total of eleven (11) bid packets were distributed. We received two responses to our solicitation as follows:
FIRM TOTAL BID AMOUNT
1. Anzco, Inc. $279,792.00
2. E & D Coating, Inc. $383,050.00
The bid responses were reviewed by DEES (refer to the attached bid tabulation form), and based upon their evaluation, the recommendation is to award the contract to Anzco, Inc., in the amount of $279,792.00. Purchasing concurs with the recommendation.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve award of bid to Anzco, Inc.
