APPROVING A ONE-YEAR EXTENSION TO THE LIMOUSINES OF SOUTH FLORIDA, INC. CONTRACT PROVIDING MARGATE INNER-CITY TRANSIT SERVICE
BACKGROUND: On June 16, 2010, the City Commission approved a contract with Limousines of South Florida (resolution 11-699) for provision of inner city transit services. Subsequently, on September 18, 2013, the City entered into a contract with Keolis Transit Services, LLC (resolution 12-387) for provision of these same services. During this contract period, services continued to be provided by Limousines of South Florida. At the request of Keolis, the contract was subsequently assigned from Keolis to Limousines of South Florida, Inc. (Resolution 12-418).
The term of the current contract with Limousines of South Florida, Inc. provides for an initial term through September 30, 2015 with an option to extend the contract for one (1) additional year upon written approval of both the City and the contractor.
All pricing, terms and conditions will remain the same and the City has a 30 day cancellation clause which may be utilized at any time during the life of the contract.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve one-year extension
FISCAL IMPACT: $350,000 proposed in FY2016 budget for bus service
